Borussia Mönchengladbach remain without a point after four rounds of the Bundesliga and sit bottom of the table. The team have lost every match, most recently going down 4-3 to Mainz. Gladbach have already conceded 16 goals, more than any other side in the league.
There was also a change of coach after three rounds. Eugen Polanski was sacked and replaced by Alexander Blessin. The former St. Pauli manager signed a contract until 2028 and was immediately handed a tough task, with Köln set to be his first league opponent.
Gladbach are also still dealing with several squad problems. Enzo Leopold, Jens Castrop and Nicolas Kühn are all unavailable. Blessin will therefore have to get the team organised with a depleted squad and try to end their run of four defeats.
